First days of filming

As fall rushes in, I am reminded of how little time I have to film before winter. I want to film a majority of my videos outside, and would prefer to do so not in freezing weather. I am, however, swamped for the next few weeks, with spirit week this week, long days of work for the next three weeks, and then the play in November. So, I have been carefully scheduling time into my day to film scenes outside. I don't know if I have mentioned it before, but the equipment I am using comes from the DJI Creator Combo 2. The filming process is pretty easy—first, I memorize the script, one paragraph at a time. I know that I will probably not be word perfect, and that is ok. I make sure that I get all of my information right, but the exact words and structure I use to convey it varies with each take. Once I have uploaded all of the takes to my computer, I select the best take and rewrite the dialogue back into the overall script. This is an important step to make sure that the transitions between videos is seamless. I plan to buy my subscription to video editing software towards the end of November, so any bits of narration that need to be voiced over will start then. Lastly, just as an aside, I am currently reading a book where the protagonist, a graduate student, travels to Hell to retrieve her advisor's soul, purely so that he can sign off on her dissertation. While I do love my advisors, I couldn't help but commiserate with the protagonist in her desperation to finish her research.
