The Scripts are coming together

Unfortunately, there is not much new to report during this phase of my project. I have continued researching and writing scripts for my Gymnastike and Musike episodes (2 and 3) and have also begun work for my final biographical segments about Zeno of Citium and Epicurus. My research and writing process begins with finding articles and books about the subjects and taking notes, which I do by creating note cards on Noodletools. Then, I organize my notecards based on which video they belong to and rewrite out all of my information in bullet points. Once my information has been sorted and ordered, I begin the laborious process of turning my notes into scripts. This is by far the most difficult stage, as I want to make sure that the scripts that I am drafting sound natural when spoken aloud. During this step, I also need to consider where I may be able to insert clips that I receive from other classicists talking about the subjects. These clips are not meant to communicate any deep or important information (my research can cover all of that), but just to break up the monotony of my voice. I have reached out to all of the people who agreed to film clips and will hopefully be receiving some soon. In the meantime, I will continue writing scripts and put the finishing touches on my research. I have also begun scheduling times that I want to go to locations to film specific pieces of B-roll. This year is going to be very busy, but I am still in the planning process!
